Way of the Samurai 4 PS3 Game

The fourth game takes place in a port city in feudal Japan three years after Commodore Perry's Black Ships arrived on the shores of Japan and demanded that the country open its borders. The city, now heavily influenced by foreign culture, is being pulled in three different directions by conflicting powers. The player must choose whom to side with and help decide the fate of the port city.

The Joui – A group of nationalists who wish to maintain Japan's traditions.
The Bakufu – The Japanese government who opened the country's borders.
The Westerners – Foreign nationals who have come as ambassadors to Japan's shores.

The player can change their alliances, make secret deals, or betray and do as they wish.
The main point of the Way of the Samurai series – living the life of a samurai in a changing world any way they wish, exploring the sights of the time period and unlocking many different endings – affecting the story profoundly through their actions.
