Now, Tekken Tag Tournament is getting the HD remake treatment in Tekken Hybrid, a console generation later for the PS3. Tekken Hybrid is a misleading title. From the sound of it, it sounds like a completely new game for the Tekken franchise. It’s called “Hybrid” because it’s half movie, half game.
Tekken Hybrid comes with the feature film, Tekken: Blood Vengeance. Blood Vengeance is a 90-minute, computer-animated film that had a short stint in select theaters. It delves into the Tekken storyline, focusing on the power struggle in the Mishima bloodline.You’ll see some background on Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachie and their lust for the Devil Gene. There’s a lot of Xiaoyu in there too.
