VR In Future Gaming
-----------VR In Future Gaming
As technology advances, and the digital world progresses further, so does the gaming world develop itself
and keeps touch with the newest technologies. We can see it in the games larger and larger memory capacities
they use up, the higher rates of RAM memory that they consume during their activeness, and for that result they
have higher resolutions, much better overall graphics as well as visual performances and also the games are more
complex, multiple choices, multiple endings, which make the code itself more complex and harder to execute. Also,
to achieve this, computers use more advanced graphic cards, processors, more efficient coolers and hihger memory
capacity hard drive discs.
So, we have come to point of having something really fascinating and breath-taking. That is the newest term,
Virtual Reality AKA VR. VR is computer technology system that uses headsets that are capable of producing images,
sounds and vibrations that give the user the sense of realistically experiencing other reality and that is the virtual one.
This VR Technology allows the users to ‘take a look’ around the virtual reality. So, the newest technology that we have
regarding to The VR is the Oculus Rift and similar to it. The Oculus Rift can be considered the most advanced VR headset,
at least for now. It is a creation by a division of Facebook inc. released in early 2016. It has stereoscopic OLED display,
a 1080x1200 resolution per eye and 90Hz refresh rate as well as 110 degrees wide field of view. The Oculus Rift creates
realistic 3D virtual reality and with that, it allows the users to vividly experience the games that support the VR technologies.
Steam has already released VR supportive tools that can be aplied to Steam games and Deus Ex: Mankind Devided has made its
own so-called VR Experience available for those who downloaded Deus Ex: Breach on Steam. Having this said, we can expect that
more and more games will become VR adapted and the VR Technologies will be more accessible to a more wider range of gamers.
Our opinion is that there are a lot of already released games that deserve VR adaptation such as: Mirror’s Edge and
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst for their uber cool and high graphics, Far Cry Primal for its breath-taking vivid visual arts as well as possibility
to realistically show the pre-historic past of a tribe.
