Sega wants you to stay home and play Total War: Shogun 2 FOR FREE
-----------Back on Friday, Sega publisher via Steam told players that they would soon be able to add a seventh sequel to the popular strategy series for free to their collections, and now they have reminded us. All interested players can download Total War: Shogun 2 for free through Steam, and in doing so Sega has joined a bunch of other publishers who have started sharing games since the pandemic began to motivate players to stay home and stick to distance measures.
Total War: Shogun 2 came out in 2011 and is one of the highest-rated games in the series. Creative Assembly says it's appropriate for veterans as well as those who are planning to step into this experience for the first time. The game is described as a blend of real-time and turn-based strategy where you spend part of your time on the world map, part in huge battles. This strategy takes place in feudal Japan in the 16th century, and it is up to you to bring one of the available clans to the top.
The offer is valid until Friday, May 1st at 7 pm and if you add it to your collection during this period you will keep it permanently. In addition to this game, the team wrote on an official blog that most of the other games in the series will be included in the Total War Sale - the offer does not include Three Kingdoms, Rome: Total War and Total War: Warhammer - which will run from today until May 4. Those who miss the download of Shogun 2 will be able to purchase the game at a 75 percent discount from May 1-4.
