Resident Evil Revelations Coming to PS4 & Xbox One
-----------Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Revelations, a game that's already available on five different systems, is set to arrive for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this fall.
Capcom has announced that this fall, Resident Evil Revelations will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The publisher confirmed it will release both physical and digital editions of the game across North America and Europe. Resident Evil Revelations was first released as a Nintendo 3DS title in January 2012. Capcom then created an HD version of the game when it got ported to PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 in 2013. Now, gamers can probably expect another visual update as the horror title moves to its 6th and 7th platforms.
Events of Resident Evil Revelations take place in between the Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 with franchise veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield taking the lead. The game's original 3DS version was received with positive reviews by most critics due to its unique use of the 3DS controls and tech but the 2013 HD ports were poorly received.
Following the visual upgrade, the HD ports also added improved lightning, a new difficulty mode, and new playable characters so one would think that Capcom may have few more additions up its sleeve for the PS4 and Xbox One ports as well. Right now it's only speculation but support for 4K or HDR on the PlayStation 4 Pro or Project Scorpio would be a nice touch.
Interestingly enough, this game will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after its sequel, Resident Evil Revelations 2, skipped the 3DS and came out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in 2015. However, such move makes sense considering Revelations 2 wasn't as well received as its predecessor.
Resident Evil Revelations comes out this fall for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
