Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Releases First Screenshots
-----------The developers for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series have officially released the first batch of screenshots for the upcoming video game.
Following the debut of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series' during The Game Awards 2016 with a short reveal trailer, the developers working on the upcoming episodic graphic adventure video game inspired by the comic book have now officially revealed the title's first batch of screenshots today. Although they don't offer much details about its story, the images depict the Guardians in different scenarios as they don the signature Telltale Games art style.
Judging by the tweet from Telltale Games, the handful of screenshots provide a glimpse at the Guardians' leader Peter Quill (AKA Star-Lord) exploring space alongside his team member Drax and investigating what seems to be the site of a space ship crash with the help of his jet-powered boots. Another shot for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series shows the whole group standing at attention, while the third one has the band of heroes' resident tech genius Rocket Raccoon wielding a characteristically oversized plasma cannon of some kind.
Although these fresh screenshots for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series are looking nifty, as they offer a look at what developers have been working on since the game's unintentional announcement, the images provide little concrete evidence about the title's plot, much less when it's set to be released to the public. As it stands, an official release date is yet to be revealed by Telltale aside from a soft launch window of spring, and with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set for its theatrical debut in May, it's likely that the developer will launch the game sometime before then.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is currently being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a release date set for sometime in spring 2017.
