Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City Launch Trailer Arrives
-----------The much-anticipated second and final Dark Soul III DLC, The Ringed City, comes out next week, and its launch trailer gives a preview of the absolute madness awaiting players.
From Software and publisher Bandai Namco will release the final downloadable content for Dark Souls 3 next week, March 28. The Ringed City will be larger than the game's first piece of DLC, and will feature new enemies, equipment, story, and areas to explore. In addition, more PvP maps will be added in the expansion for those who like to roll around, stabbing at other players.
A launch trailer has been released honoring the new content which previews all of the darkly beautiful mayhem players can expect to forge through before reaching the expansion's climax.
The final Dark Souls 3 trailer begins, as they usually do, with some vague story narration before going into new material. The last half shows off some of the new spells, weapons, and creatures before coming to a strong end with a glimpse of a giant, hulking dragon that may be the expansion's big bad.
For an even closer look at its amazingly grotesque visuals, take a look at some of the excellent screenshots from the DLC that were recently released. Included is a more-detailed look of the dragon showed in the launch trailer, which is even more terrifying in high-res.
Even though there's still a week left before the launch, the Dragon Ruins and Grand Roof PvP arenas are available now for those who have the Ashes of Araindel DLC or the game's Season Pass. If players don't own any of these and decide to just get The Ringed City, then this content will be available next week when the expansion releases. Both arenas are part of update 1.1, which must be downloaded first.
Dark Souls 3 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Ringed City, the second and final DLC for Dark Souls 3, launches on March 28, 2017.
