Activision has officially announced what most players assumed - Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will not be able to run on Windows XP. To play Black OPS 2 you will need Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 or the latest Windows 8
Other system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 or AMD Phenom X3 8750
2 GB for x86 and 4GB of memory for x64 system
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics card
