Unreal Engine 4
-----------Unreal Engine 4
There are many softwares for creating games out there, but we would like to focus particularly only on UE4 because of several important things.
Firstly, Unreal Engine at all is a one very successful software for designing games and maps that it is used by the major companies from the gaming
industry such as Ubisoft, Eidos, EA Games and many others. This means that Unreal Engine is that much complex in its huge variety of capabilities
that it can manage to fully express and still simple to use. This is one very good property that attracts companies to use Unreal Engine.
Secondly, Unreal Engine 4 is for some time now made available to EVERYONE. It is FREE to download as it costs nothing, so anyone can download it and start using it. However, that happens not so fast because there are still a lot of things that must be
learnt apart from the in-app tutorials. Things like coding or simple actions that need to take place at certain events or times. And this is why our third
reason for focusing on UE4 comes in.
Thirdly, for Unreal Engine 4 there is a whole YouTube channel called Unreal Engine that has one massive tutorials playlist that explains the program and teaches you thoroughly, tutorials that take a deeper look into UE4 and are so easily understandable.
Simply put, the UE team made its product fully available to the whole world and the product of that is mesmerizing. Competitions among the amateurs
are being held throughout the year, the best are either richly awarded or contracted to work for the big companies, great maps and game concepts are
being sold for a ton of money, business is made and the economy grows almost out of nowhere. And this is why that decision of the UE team was so smart
and in perfect timing because it felt like the ideas were all used up but then came the fresh breath of creativity.
This gives you the chance to start learning the UE4 through these tutorials (as I personally do) and maybe, just maybe, tomorrow you'll come across an idea
worth millions.
At last, we would like to mention some games done under UE. The list includes: Far Cry 3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, Pneuma: Breath of Life
(made solely to test the UE), The Turing Test as well as Q.U.B.E..
