The Assembly
-----------The Assembly
It is developed and published by nDreams for PC and is also available (primarly) for VR Headsets.
It requires you to have W7 with 8GB RAM and 5GB free disk space alongside with nVidia GTX970.
It is a first-person, long-form, narrative-driven interactive drama for mature audiences.
In it, you will uncover a mysterious and morally dubious organisation known solely as the Assembly that
has been conducting secret experiments underground, where their astonishing breakthroughs only made
possible by operating outside government scrutiny and society’s morals through a gripping and incisive
interactive story. But what is the Assembly hiding? How far will it go to keep its existence buried?
And what will it sacrifice in the pursuit of progress? Now, a chain of events threatens to expose this shadowy group.
Face thought-provoking dilemmas with uncertain outcomes that challenge your views of the Assembly and its members,
and which come to a head in one of multiple thrilling conclusions as you have here two sides to everything, where
the truth is never clear, and a question is always left open: When does the end justify the means? This means that you will have to
explore the Assembly from the perspective of two different protagonists, the newcomer Madeleine Stone and veteran Cal Pearson,
each guided by their own motivations. As Madeleine, face a bizarre induction programme that seeks to test your potential, and as Cal
make a series of shocking revelations that lead you to question the Assembly’s relentless pursuit of progress. Face trials, investigate
the Assembly’s secret bunker, make tough decisions and shake the foundations of this enigmatic collective.
But will your actions and their repercussions save lives… or lead to a catastrophe?
The Assembly has one of the most thought out and established worlds of any upcoming VR experience and brings VR to a whole other level
as it truly looks and feels like the next generation of adventure games.
nDreams have crafted a richly and realisticly detailed and beautiful universe full of memorable people and moments.
Also, The Assembly's moody cold palette and ambient sounds work to create an atmosphere that feels frightfully tense,
especially when you're trespassing in your co-workers offices and prying for information.
So, definitely recommended for gamers that enjoy solving a good mystery as well as challenging both puzzles and moral quandaries.
The Assembly is a promising sigh, a virtual reality game that unfolds in a smart way and treats its players maturely.
Progress isn't perfect.
