Civilization V: Gods & Kings
.....
The first expansion for excellent strategy Civilization V doesn't sound too effective, but brings enough innovation to keep us awake one more night.
We meet long-lived “Civilization” through five sequels, but this game never gets old. Not because the players are nostalgic (well, there are some), but because of the constant upgrade of the original concept which the developers enrich gameplay.
There is no doubt that Firaxis thinks about the sixth chapter. While his ideas are not turned into something real, they decided to cheer us with first expansion Gods & Kings for Civilization V, which, hopefully will not be the last.
Released two years ago, Civilization V made weeping changes in the series. Not only the cosmetics that first catches the eye, but the whole game obviously is tailored for beginners. They threw some complex details for some who didn't want to give the effort to learn the basics and enjoy one of the best series of all time. Expansion God's and Kings has nine new civilizations, such as Celts and the Dutch, 27 new units, new buildings and nine new world wonders.
The accent is on two new gameplay elements: religion and espionage.Religion is primitive at the begining but its possible to create your own over time. We can choose the benefits that best suit us with respect to the direction in which we want to develop our own nation.Religion also serves to buy missionaries and prophets that our faith spreading around the world and even some buildings.
Espionage is however a bit disappointing and does not hide the fact that we expect more from it. Specifically, spies are used exclusively to defend their own cities from enemy spying and stealing technology. If one spy catches another spy, relations between friendly nations in one moment can turn intodisaster, which in turn might lead to war.
Of course, the above mentioned items are not the only reason why this expansion has our recommendation. For example, artificial intelligence is enhanced. Naval units gained in importance, and added the Great Admiral. Three new scenarios offer a wealth of additional content; city-states it is easier to meet and gain their sympathy, and so on.
