New Gran Turismo Sport Footage Coming Next Week
-----------Polyphony Digital will debut Gran Turismo Sport's new footage next week, according to a Playstation blog announcement by Kazunori Yamauchi.
A livestream is set to start off the premiere for the new trailer reveal at 10:45 a.m. PT on May 19. Fans can tune in live on Gran Turismo or PlayStation's official YouTube channels, and are encouraged to stick around after the trailer if they want more Gran Turismo events. The developer will host couple of Gran Turismo Championship pre-season races that will start at 11 a.m.
These races will be part of the nations Cup and Manufacturer Cup, which will run over the course of the year. The developers of Polyphony Digital have partnered with the International Automobile Federation (FiA), to introduce online racing series that will be recognised alongside real world motor racing from FIA.
More info is promised during the stream about the PlayStation 4 version of the next installment of the popular racing franchise. Sony announced it first with a trailer, which came out in October as a part of the company's Paris Games Week press event. At that time, there were plans for a beta launch of the version early this year, but there was no mention of that in this announcement.
Polyphony Digital also said last fall that they are working on making the game more compatible with PlayStation VR. Gran Turismo Sport will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive game.
Polyphony Digital is a video game development studio of Sony Interactive Entertainment, part of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios. The Gran Turismo series is designed to be a realistic driving simulator, offering realistic driving physics. Polyphony Digital has also been involved in real life automotive projects. They have developed special versions of their Gran Turismo games for many car manufacturers as demonstrators for their cars.
