Ubisoft Doesn't Know Assassin's Creed's End. Yet!!!
-----------Last year claims that ubisoft has planed the end of the Assassin's Creed franchise are "not exactly true," that's according to one of the series writers.
In a recent interview, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Black Flag lead writer Darby McDevitt revealed that there was confusion over the claim, which was made last year that the ending of the series was already written.
"There's been a bit of confusion in that [Ismail] once said that Assassin's Creed has an ending - that's not exactly true," he explained. "This storyline has an ending, but because all of history is open to us we see the universe as a Doctor Who type thing. There are so many possibilities we don't want to definitively end the universe, but we can have storylines that have endings."
McDevitt also explained how he saw Black Flag as a bridge to connect the series, offering players a chance to say goodbye to Desmond, using all the memos and trivia that was located in Abstergo, and setting things up for the next entry in the series.
"The end of the Desmond trilogy changed slightly but it was always intended to end that way. And then about two years ago we planned for another story... [But] we've moved on from specifically defining when a story will end," he revealed.
Assassin's Creed V's announcement is probably not far, as the series were annualised.
