Persona 5 Announced
-----------Today during a Persona event, Atilus officially announced Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3. It will launch Winter 2014 in Japan.
A special Persona event today revealed that Atlus will launch a new game the Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3 in Japan. Atlus released no details about a Western release.
Atlus also released a short trailer for Persona 5, which shows no gameplay, but it features images of shackles and series of chains. You can check out the Persona 5 teaser website for more info.
Persona 5 will be the fifth game in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, which dates back more than a decade. The latest entry in the series is Persona 4 for the PlayStation 2, which launched in 2008 on PlayStation 2 and 2012 on the PlayStation Vita named as Persona 4 Golden.
Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth was also mentioned today during the special Persona event, it will be an all-new entry in the series for 3DS, and will launch in June 2014 in Japan. This will make it the first ever game in the Persona series to be available on a Nintendo platform.
Also Atlus announced rhythm game Persona 4: Dancing All Night, which is a collaboration between Atlus and Dingo, which will launch in Japan next Fall. Lastly, Atlus announced P4U: Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, a fighting game set to launch in Japan for PS3 in 2014. It is a follow-up to last year's Persona 4 Arena.
