Minecraft Launching on PlayStation 3
-----------Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will be released tomorow, no info for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita release dates which are in development.
Mojang announced that Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will launch in the PlayStation Store beginning this Tuesday, December 17.
"Expect more news in the New Year," Mojang said.
Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will feature everything found in the Xbox 360 version. "They're pretty much identical to play and will be developed in tandem from now on," Mojang said.
Mojang said that downloadable skins and texture packs will be available from the PlayStation Store 'soon" after the game is launched this week for PS3. Sony-specific skins and texture packs "would be cool," but they are not confirmed.
"We don't know yet, sorry," said Mojang when asked about the Remote Play support between the console and portable versions.
The PlayStation versions of Minecraft will have big shoes to fill, as Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition achieved 10 million in lifetime sales last week.
