Microsoft Developing a Brand New Free-to-Play AAA Game
-----------Several job listings suggest that Microsoft is developing a free-to-play AAA game, based on a "successful" IP.
Microsoft is hiring a large number of producer positions for at least one "gaming service based on a AAA game." Both adverts ask for "deep experience with the free-to-play services, and business models. Assuming bothh positions are connected to the same project, the game to be worked on will be an "existing, successful Microsoft Studios IP."
Also, Microsoft is hiring a creative director who will work closely with Ken Lobb and "revisit back catalog of existing IP" for experiences in and "beyond the living room" and "beyond the console." With some of these games going to the Xbox One are owned by Microsoft.
Microsoft catalogue is large and contains a lot of successful franchises like Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable, Crackdown, and more. The game might be the rumored Crackdown 3, a free-to-play Halo platform, or it could be a Kinect Adventures follow-up. Also Microsoft owns Rare and all of its properties.
