Mass Effect: Andromeda Launch Confirmed for Early 2017
-----------The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda is pushed back and now scheduled to launch early 2017 as the developer BioWare announced.
"As we've been playing the game at the studio recently, it's showing us that we're taking the game in the right direction," said the general manager of BioWare Aaryn Flynn in a post on the official Mass Effect website. "But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be — that's our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017."
Confirming the statement were the comments made by Blake Jorgensen, the chief financial officer of the game's publisher Electronic Arts, during a technology conference that happened in early March.
At that time, Jorgensen said that Mass Effect Andromeda will be released in EA's fourth quarter of 2017's fiscal year, which runs from January to March 2017. When BioWare revealed the game at E3 2015, the studio said that they planned to release Mass Effect Andromeda in holiday 2016. Following the news on the project, BioWare said that they will provide an update during EA Play, the publisher's pre-E3 press conference on 12th of June.
Fans of the game, despite the news of the delayed release were not disappointed or upset. On the contrary, most gamers have shown huge trust and completely understand the hold up and even backed up the developers, saying that if this means more changes to the game's quality in a better way, it will be worth the wait.
The development team that's behind the game have made a solid decision that it's going in the right direction and that they are testing what's ready so far. Mass Effect Andromeda is said to be a fresh start of a brand new trilogy that will take place one galaxy away from Shepard and his companions.
