Left 4 Dead creators Unveil a New IP
-----------Turtle Rock Studios the studio that brought us Left 4 Dead, officially announced their next project.
Evolve is set to launch in fall 2014, and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. The game will run on some form of Crytek's CryEngine.
It will be a sci-fi multiplayer focused shooter, where a four player crew of alien hunters will battle a player controlled monster that gains in strength as the game progresses. Each of the hunters will have unique abilities and items, while the monster will use "devastating" attacks versus players.
The key presumptions of Evolve are supposed to be variety and replayability which will be supported through a mix of co-operative and competitive multiplayer elements.
Turtle Rock Studios also released a teaser website with the message "THE HUNT WILL CONTINUE."
The Evolve IP was bought by 2K Games in the THQ auction in January 2013 for almost $11 million.
