Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster Arrives on Steam This Week

-----------
.....

Final Fantasy 10 and Final Fantasy 10-2 arrive this week for PC, according to retail game listing on Steam. A bundle containing HD remasters for both of the PlayStation 2 games will also be available this Thursday, May 12.

Final Fantasy official twitter account has confirmed the ports early today, after Steam's store page went live hours before the announcement. This Thursday release marks the game's classic and direct sequel's, that's a first PC debute for this Final Fantasy franchise.

The game will arrive with dual Japanese and English options for the voice, improved visuals, new music, auto-save and five "enhancements," also including a no-encounter mode with options to turn on the speed, as well as features previously exclusive to the international Japanese release. Similar boosts were implemented in recent Steam ports of Final Fantasy 9, which hit mobile earlier this year.

Players that cannot wait for two more days to replay Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 will have another current-gen option, very similar to the remaster collection that was available for PlayStation 4 last year. With Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 now on Steam, the only games missing in the franchise are the PlayStation 2's Final Fantasy 12 and this fall's Final Fantasy 15.

According to the publisher Square Enix, the latter game currently does not have a PC version in the works. Price hasn't been announced yet but looking back on previous PC ports, players should expect to pay between $12 and $20 when the game is released.
