Command & Conquer Resuming Development?
-----------According to information on the Electronic Arts support site the recently-canceled Command & Conquer might still be released.
EA cancelled the development of the game at the end of October and closed the developer studio Victory Games.
A post on the EA Support page details refunds for any alpha testers that spent money.
“For those of you who bought The C&C Ultimate Collection, your early access to the beta will be honored once production of this title resumes under a new studio. We would like to thank you for your time and interest in Command & Conquer, and we look forward to sharing the news with you when production resumes on this title in the future.”
This implies that EA plans to continue developing the free-to-play Command & Conquer, although with a new developer studio. When the game was canceled the team stated, "We are not making the game you want to play." Even then, though, they did state that production was being halted on "this version," and another version appears to be forthcoming.
