Battlefield 4 PC Suffers DDoS Attack
-----------DICE has confirmed the PC version of Battlefield 4 is the target of a distributed denial-of-service attack.
DICE, the Battlefield 4 developer has confirmed that the PC version Battlefield 4 was the target of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack over the past weekend, which left the game unplayable for some.
"We are being targeted by a DDOS, but working on fixing it asap," Battlefield producer Ali Hassoon said Saturday evening. "I'm sorry somebody is ruining your and my day. Rest assured we are doing our best to mitigate the situation though."
The PC version of Battlefield 4 is not the only version of the game that is experiencing issues. A Battlelog update, explains how DICE plans to improve the game across multiple platforms.
First priority for DICE is to release an update next week for the PS4 version of Battlefield 4 that should fix the frequent crashes on the platform. Xbox 360 will receive a general update, which is undergoing final testing and will be released soon.
The PC version of Battlefield 4 will also receive a fix to a number of issues. "We will have more details on the contents of this update and a rough timing estimate at a later date," DICE said.
