A New Authorization Arocess Added to Steam Family Sharing
-----------Users are now required to authorize both the machines and the accounts they want to share games with.
So far users who wanted to share their library of Steam games with others, they needed only to authorize the computer that would be able to access the game. Now the person you want tho share needs an authorized computer and an authorized Steam account, with the limit being 19 computers and 10 accounts that share your library at any given time.
"We’ve made a change to the way Family Sharing works in the most recent Steam client beta, where lenders must now identify the Steam users who may access and play their shared games on shared computers. This allows lenders more control while reducing the risk of VAC or other bans resulting from an unknown user accessing and abusing shared games on an authorized machine."
Steam Family Sharing was first made available back in September via beta, and will be supported on PC, Mac, and Linux.
