4.6 Million Played the Destiny Beta

Gamers show huge interest for Bungie's first-person-shooter Destiny.
Activision Blizzard has announced that more than 4.6 million Guardians participated in the recent Destiny beta.
The exact number is said to be 4,638,937, which is quite high considering the short period it was available for. The beta kicked off on Sony platforms on July 17, before coming to Xbox owners the following week.
Bungie COO Pete Parsons said, "We were totally blown away by the number of people who played the beta. We surpassed even our own goals and the feedback was invaluable. We cannot thank the community enough, the response was humbling and in the weeks ahead we’ll be working hard to ensure that Destiny lives up to the expectations at launch."
Destiny is set to be released on September 8, for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
