Back to the less known but good games, here comes Sniper Elite by Rebellion, a game wich revolves around

the second world war, and can be considered a stealth-action game, especially if we talk about Sniper Elite V2,

or Sniper Elite Africa (III) or even Sniper Elite Italia (IV) the newest game by Rebellion from this franchise.

The main protagonist is an American agent working for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), predecessor

of the today’s Central Intelligence Agency ot the CIA. He is named Karl Fairburne and he is skilled elite sniper.

This game stands out of the ordinary games for its cinematic and highly graphic visualisation of the travelling

of the bullets that you fire as well as showing how they pentrate the bodies of the enemies. This makes the game

both weirdly atractive and enjoyable at the same time. Apart from this, it’s one challenging game that gives several

tasks for the player to acomplish during gameplay as well as the constant invetigating that he does in order to advance

further through the game. The games are not in chronological order as you will notice. The Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 (I)

revolves around the events shortly before the end of the war and there are some historic figures such as

Martin Bormann, powerfull figure among the nacional-socialists of The Third Reich and The US General George Smith Patton.

Sniper Elite V2 revolves around the famous Operation Paperclip and its predecessor Operation Overcast and around the

development of the V2 rockets. For those who don’t know, Operation Paperclip is an American op that was to employ

German scientists working for Hitler to now work for the USA and the best known scientist from that Operation Paperclip

is Wernher von Braun and his rocket team who together gave birth to the USA’s space rocket program. Sniper Elite Afrika

revolves around places such as Tobruk, Siwa Oasis, Halfaya Pass, Kaserine Pass and the historic Battle of Gazala. The time

now is  june 1942 and it also revolves around the making of the so-called ‘Landkreuzer P.1000’ codenamed Ratte

(meaning rat in english), a massive super-heavy tank capable of dealing tremendous amount of damage to fortifications as

well as enemy lines. The Sniper Elite Italia revolves around the Sicilian Mafia, Operation Avalanche and

Dwight David Eisenhower and 34-th US president, a terrible man accountable for the death of thousands of German POWs

as well as civilians, making them to starve to death and be exposed to the sun and the weather 24/7. And today many of his

40 death camps around France and Germany are being showed to the public as if they were Nazi camps.
