Astroneer
-----------Astroneer
Developed and published by System Era Softworks, this game Astroneer can be as well considered in
the indie-style games. However, it is officially labeld as sandbox and adventure, respectively. It is
space-based game (obviously :) ) and this game is done under Unreal Engine 4 as well. It runs under
minimum system requirements as it runs on W7(64), 4GB RAM and only 2GB free space and as well as DX11.
However, it is still recommended to use 8GB RAM and 4GB free space instead of the above mentioned.
Astroneer has no set goal and no storyline as you are tasked with colonising planets, creating structures and
mining resources. In it, you can explore and reshape distant worlds as Astroneer is set during a 25th century
gold rush where you have the chance to explore the frontiers of outer space, risking the life of the protagonist in
harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich. On this adventure, a your most useful tool will certainly be
your own ability to shape your world, altering the terrain and extracting valuable resources from planets, and moons.
The resources can be traded or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules to create everything from massive industrial
bases to mobile rover bases. Long story, short, you are capable of reshapeing the terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh
which makes this game to be so cool and cute at the same time. Then the next element is survival and exploration of procedurally
generated planets (a feature that we had in No Man’s Sky) that can be entirely deformed and traversed. And lastly, build vehicles
and travel to new planets and moons after you snap together components and objects to create custom vehicles and modules.
This nice game is a work by Jacob Liechty as designer, Brendan Wilson and Zabir Hoque as programmers, Adam Bromell and
Paul Pepera as artists and Rutger Zuydervelt as composer. People worth mentioning their names for their effort that resulted
in our pure enjoyment over this sweet game. And another sweet thing about Astroneer is that it is playable in multiplayer mode too.
