A Future World?

A Future World?

On our journey to new horizons in the gaming world and as well as the journey through time in the real world,

we've come across a new, futuristic-like era and that is, so to say, the cyber era where everything is digitalised,

computers start to gain considerable AI, primal AI robots are starting to emerge exponentially and more advanced

cybernetics are on the horizon with the help of bioengineering, neuroscience, computer science and robotics. This will

very soon come to be our everyday reality and 'the new normal', but are we ready for that dramatic change that will

certainly come sooner or later?

On that topic, dealing with the dilemma of the new age, argues SQUARE ENIX in cooperation with EIDOS Montreal.

By now, you have certainly guessed that we are talking here about Deus Ex, either Human Revolution or Mankind Divided.

And yes, you're right. We will take a glance over those two games.

Firstly, we will take a look at Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Here we have a character named Adam (symbolically) Jensen.

According to the story, he only knows his parents names, worked for SWAT, continued  to Sarif Industries where he

encountered cyber terror attack where he lost his ex-girlfriend Megan Reed who also was the lead scientist at

Sarif Industries. In that attack he also was severely injured and taken for almost dead. After six months of heavy surgery

procedures taken at Sarif Industries' Limb Clinic, Adam is reborn and turned back to life as an augmented person.

Without his consent he has become another man with superhuman abilities and endurance. His mission was to find the

attackers and find the motives, or so to say, to find who stands behind the cyber terror attack that took place six months ago.

His detective-like sharp mindedness and persuasive speech gets him to the core of the problem, a shadowy group called

The Illuminati who are conspiring economic, technological and digital enslavement of the whole world. At the end he is left

with three options and one hidden, which was yours?

However, in Mankind Divided we can clearly see what Adam has chosen and that the hidden war is not over yet.
