Warcraft Movie Release Date Revealed
-----------Blizzard Confirmed the upcoming movie based on fantasy series from Legendary Pictures will be released on December 18, 2015.
World of Warcraft's Twitter got fans excited today with its announcement today "We’re pleased to announce that @Legendary Pictures’ WARCRAFT will be released by @UniversalPics on December 18, 2015."
The film is being directed by Duncan Jones and it could feature Colin Farrel and Paul Dano in the lead roles.
The movie's plot still is unknown, but previous report suggests it will feature "time travel and alien worlds."
"The opportunity to do something like Warcraft is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. You hope that you're going to get the chance to make films where you really get to delve into fantasy," Jones said during San Diego Comic-Con in July, where a teaser for the movie was shown. "And with Warcraft, I actually get to create a world and there's not that many filmmakers who get the chance to start from scratch and build something that big. I know how lucky I am and I am so excited to do it."
The movie was announced during E3 2006, with Sam Raimi appointed the director, though he left, claiming claiming Blizzard "mismanaged" the film. It is believed the budget for the movie to exceed $100 million.
