Transformers: Battle Tactics Shutting Down
-----------The "grand finale" event will end on May 12.
Transformers: Battle Tactics, the turn-based strategy game from DeNA, is shutting down. The developer said that "even Cybertron has to fall at some point," in a forum post announcing the shutdown.
"It's with a heavy heart I announce that we have made the tough decision to sunset Transformers: Battle Tactics," the developer said. "This was not a decision made lightly, but one that had to be made. It's been quite a ride thus far, and while things are coming to an end, there is still more to look forward to."
DeNA did not reveal the cause of the shutdown.
The game's support forums and general forums will remain online for the time being, however.
On March 4, the developer will announce a "grand finale" event for the game, which will then begin on March 11. The game will be removed from app stores on March 10, at which time all microtransactions will be disabled and the game's forums closed.
On May 12, the Grand Final event will end and the Battle Tactics servers will be shut off. At this time, support for the game will also end
"It's been quite a journey, but as it comes to a close, lets have a blast as we say goodbye," the developer said. "Everyone, roll out!"
