The Xbox One Won't be Microsoft's Last Console
-----------"I fully expect that you'll see another console from us," says Xbox boss.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer in a new interview was asked if he foresees a day when Xbox exists as an app, storefront.
"No," Spencer told The Verge. "I fully expect that you'll see another console from us. Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100 percent committed to that."
He added: "I don't want to dilute what the Xbox console customer feels. I want to expand what we're able to do for more customers."
The Verge also spoke with Xbox executive Shannon Loftis about the future of gaming at Microsoft. Going forward, she said one of Microsoft's goals is to make gaming "more inclusive across the board."
In addition to controller-centric games, Loftis says Microsoft is exploring "as many ways to make all of our experiences relevant across all of our platforms as we possibly can."
However don't expect the Xbox One's successor anytime soon.
