Still No Plans On Releasing Halo 5 For PC
-----------343 Industries confirmed that there are still no plans for a Halo 5: Guardians PC port, despite the Forge becoming available on Windows 10.
Even though Microsoft has recently announced the Halo 5: Guardians tools will be coming to PC later this year, developer 343 Industries has stressed that it will not be followed by the full game.
The Xbox One exclusive game Halo 5 remains locked to the console, despite theories by fans that it won't be available on Windows 10. Although 343 reportedly claimed that Forge will arrive in the beginning of the Halo PC experience, seems like Halo 5 won't be making the transition yet.
“Releasing Forge for Windows 10 for free will open up endless opportunities to the PC community to build and play Halo 5 multiplayer content, while also allowing them to share their creations with gamers on Xbox One as well,” 343 Industries said in a blog post recently. “Windows 10 remains an important focus for the Halo franchise moving forward.”
343 confirmed that the team is currently focusing on the Halo Wars 2 development, a game that is supposed to hit PC and Xbox One. The game is developed by Total War developer Creative Assembly and is planned to release this fall. The RTS game was announced last year, 6 years after its predecessor, but with a rather epic cinematic trailer.
Halo 5 will not be coming to PC any time soon, because of the US retailers carrying the Xbox One game for just $30, which allows console gamers to pick up the title at a cheaper price. The game is now available, for what seems a limited time offer and with discounted price at several stores, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.
The 6th latest DLC pack in the Halo franchise has also been detailed. With the title "Memories of Reach", the expansion will give players the ability to unlock armor sets of Noble Team's greates heroes, who were last seen in 2010's Halo Reach.
