StarCraft Universe Kickstarter Successful
-----------The Blizzard approved free-to-play MMO game from Upheval Arts has concluded, earning $84,918 from 1,753 supporters.
This all means that that the team has raised enough funds to release the public multiplayer test, complete Act 1 of the original story. All money recived above the $80,000 will be spent on the team's next goal which is to create the Zerg character class which is $100,000.
According to the development schedule, the Upheval Arts team is looking to generate $1 million. This development plan consists of seven stages, with the first one just passed. The next stage is $100,000 to be able to create the Zerg character class. The third stage with a goal of $135,000 will be to make a female player model for all the classes, and PVP zone focused on vehicular combat. For the fourth stage the team will need $175,000 and will allow them to create the second act.
The fifth stage will begin at $200,000 in funds, and will focus on the flashback zones. After the previously set goal, every $25,000 the team receives will be used an additional zone, totaling eleven zones. The next stage of $500,000 will focus on updating character models and animations, and localized translation.
The seventh and final stage of $1 million, Upheval Arts will build the entire Koprulu sector to explore, and one zone dedicated to each notable planet in StarCraft lore.
