Red Dead Redempton 2 Trailer Released
-----------The first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released by Rockstar Games, which, despite very slim story details, shows some impressive western visuals.
Unfortunately, the trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't answer any of fans' most important questions. The seven cowboys from the concept art appear at one point, galloping on horseback and a voice over that says "when the time comes, you gotta run and don't look back." Sadly though, there are no clues as to who those men are or what they might be running from and it doesn't reveal whether Red Dead Redemption 2 will have two protagonists, as speculated.
The trailer does show some very impressive graphics, as well as a river winding through a valley and the sun peeking through the trees in a forest. Given the fact that an elk and a herd of buffalo are also present indicates that the hunting mechanic from the first game will return too. Also, two people are seen rowing a boat, which could mean that sailing (and most likely swimming) will be featured as well.
Furthermore, the trailer doesn't give any confirmation that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be available on Nintendo's newly announced console, the Nintendo Switch. Even though Take-Two said that it was 'very interested' in Nintendo's new device, prior to the Switch's announcement, some were having doubts about whether the company would really release its biggest releases on it. It doesn't mean that RDR 2 will never come to the Switch, but apparently, it won't be available at launch.
It seems that Red Dead Redemption 2 PC is not going to happen, either. The original Red Dead Redemption was never 'seriously' taken into consideration for PC but many thought that with PC gaming being very widespread, Rockstar wouldn't pass up the opportunity to release the sequel on the platform. Currently, there's a petition to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC, so maybe if this accumulates enough support, Rockstar will release it on PC after the console launch same as it did with Grand Theft Auto 5.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches for PS4 and Xbox One in 2016.
