New Gameplay Video Released for Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

-----------
.....

The Sherlock Holmes video game series will return soon with the release of The Devil’s Daughter, and now Bigben Studios and publisher Frogwares have released a new gameplay trailer that features additional playable characters and semi-open world chase sequences that Holmes will undertake in his adventures.

The trailer shows Sherlock Holmes helping out a man that goes by the name of Tom Hurst, whose father has recently gone missing. What this results in is Holmes taking the streets of Whitechapel, collecting clues on the whereabouts of Hurst's Father, though that may lead to some unexpected situations.

Players will be able to move freely throughout several districts in London, England, with each district being it's own open area, while others can be reached by horse or carriage. It won't be possible to travel from one district to the other without hitting a loading screen.

As the world's greatest detective, most of the daily work will focus on investigating the crime scenes and tailing suspects, while looking for clues and making deductions. Additionally, this trailer shows how Sherlock will have to perform a skill-based activity in order to eavesdrop the area, although these skills can be switched off in order to just get the story. It's also possible to switch to a first-person perspective at any given time.

The Devil’s Daughter will launch as the 8th Sherlock Holmes game that Frogwares has developed. The series has gotten better and better with time, with 2014’s Crimes and Punishments being considered to be the best in the series so far.

PlayStation's blog confirmed that Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter will be available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store. Those who pre-order the game are going to receive the exclusive set of disguises for Sherlock Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will be available on June 10th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
