Mobius Final Fantasy US Release Date Revealed
-----------Square Enix announced that the title Mobius Final Fantasy will arrive ahead of Final Fantasy 15 in North America, and pre-registration bonuses are still available.
There's never been a better time to have a big release set for a debut in the mobile gaming market than right now. Pokemon GO gamers are using their smartphones for more than just texting or scrolling through feeds on social media, and if other studios can hold on to this momentum generated by Niantic and Nintendo's gigantic title, we may witness a mobile gaming renaissance.
Perhaps as an indication, Square Enix announced recently that Mobius Final Fantasy will launch in North America in the near future. Pre-registration has already begun for the latest Final Fantasy mobile game, and fans will be able to play the title that Japanese gamers have been enjoying most of the year on August 3. The game is going to be available for users on both Android and iOS mobile devices.
The story of Mobius Final Fantasy begins with a man who wakes up in the world of Palamecia with nothing but amnesia, a sword and lots of clothing than he was initially supposed to have. Soon after gaining his bearings, the man finds himself solving a mysterious prophecy that concerns a legendary warrior of light who must bring hope and salvation to the world of Palamecia.
Sounds a bit like standard JRPG fare, but the game has projected over a million active users in Japan and features a team of developers led by Yoshinori Kitase of Final Fantasy 7 fame. Kazushige Nojima wrote the story, who also worked on Final Fantasy 7 and is associated with the upcoming remake of the game. Finally, Mobius Final Fantasy goes over with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, as Cloud joins the game's protagonist during an event in the game.
Mobius Final Fantasy is coming out in the west on August 3 for iOS and Android mobile devices.
