License Renewed to 2017 for Lord of the Rings Online
-----------Tribune has renewed the licence for The Lord of the Rings Online until 2017 saying "We plan to support LOTRO for many years to come."
Community manager Sapience on the official forums made the announcement, which should calm players that the game is not going to end prematurely due to legal wrangles.
"I just wanted to drop in and address the concerns surrounding the license, again, he wrote. "We have said as far back as July of 2013, we plan to support LOTRO for many years to come. I really want to be as clear as possible on this subject to avoid any further confusion or misunderstanding. The license was renewed."
Elsewhere in the conversation he explained the agreement was set to run "through 2017," leaving plenty of time for The One Ring to still reach Mordor.
The latest expansion for The Lord of The Rings Online was Helm's Deep, which was released at the end of last year.
