Leaked Halo Wars 2 Artwork Reveals Key Details
-----------A Twitter user has leaked two pieces of supposed Halo Wars 2 art, both offering some details about the upcoming RTS game.
Ever since last year's announcement from Microsoft that Halo Wars 2 will make its way to Xbox One and Windows 10, very little has been shared about the upcoming real-time strategy game. Aside from appearing on Microsoft's 2016 exclusive list couple of months ago, players have been left in the dark as to what they can expect from the game. But if the new leaked artwork is to be trusted, we may have our first proof on what could be present in Halo Wars 2.
Not long ago, the Twitter user has posted two pieces of Halo Wars 2 art. While both pictures were typically the same, they offered up few interesting informations regarding the game's setting and enemies. The first noticeable thing in the leaked artwork is that the Ark from the final battle in Halo 3 is featured, and seeing as how the installation looks intact, is suggesting that Halo Wars 2 will be set before the game.
This pre-Halo 3 setting is reinforced further based on the structure that resembles a pillar located just underneath the Ark, which seems very similar to the towers featured in the Halo 3 mission "The Covenant".
While the leaked artwork seems pretty convincing, it has not yet been confirmed as legitimate. But with E3 2016 just around the corner, fans can expect Microsoft to share some details on the leaked artwork, as well as more info on Halo Wars 2, during its press conference.
With the upcoming release of Halo Wars 2 this year, and Halo 6 in the works, this all suggests that the Halo franchise will continue to be the main focus for Microsoft. Given that Halo Wars 2 is expected to make an appearance at this year's E3, more news will be posted as soon as they are available.
