Just Cause 3 Mech Land Assault DLC Arrives This Week
-----------Square Enix has revealed the first details behind its second Just Cause 3 expansion pack, Mech Land Assault, including when can players expect to play it.
After a rough than expected launch release last December, the open-world action game Just Cause 3 received countless quality of life updates and a stimulating first expansion pack that brought even more ways for players to toy with the world, including a powered jet wing suit. Players that look for more ways to mess with the physics system won't have to wait too long according to Square Enix and Avalanche Studios, as more content is promised to go live in the game soon.
The second expansion, Mech Land Assault will add more to the already sizable world with the introduction of Rico to Lacrima. This island is a home to an abandoned research base with prison camp run by a mysterious group called Black Hand. In order to help Rico to deal with mechs inside the guard area, he'll acquire access to a powerful new Bavarium Power Core energy rifle, which disables shields allowing him to hijack them for his own purposes. These mechs are equipped with powerful cannons and gravity guns to cause even more physics based destruction.
Mech Land Assault is scheduled to launch for season pass holders later this week on June 3. General release for non-season pass holders will be on June 10 and will cost $11.99.
Earlier this year Avalanche released the first expansion to Just Cause 3, named Sky Fortress. The expansion gave Rico access to new weapons, which included an assault rifle and new tools such as the Bavarium Wing Suit. While most of the action takes place in the sky against an invading high tech paramilitary group and their ships, all of the DLC gear can thankfully be taken back and then used in the main game.
The Mech Land Assault DLC will join as the land and sky part of the $24.99 expansion pass. The final expansion that has been already revealed as the Bavarium Sea Heist, is planned to hit sometime later this summer and its gameplay focus will be around the ocean. No more details have been shared.
