Just Cause 3 Bavarium Sea Heist Trailer Teased and Release Date Known
-----------Square Enix revealed the launch trailer for the third and final Just Cause 3 expansion pack, Bavarium Sea Heist, including when players can expect to play it.
Although the massive open world and innovative destruction of Just Cause 3 captured the imagination of longtime fans, some of them got turned off by the many technical problems and extremely long load times that were unfortunately present as well.
Thankfully, Avalanche Studios not only made some quality of life improvements, but also added a bunch of new content to the game through a trio of expansion packs. As of today, season pass owners can begin to play through the final section of the Land, Air, and Sea expansion pass known as the Bavarium Sea Heist.
Going forward with the loose story line between Rico, the eDEN Corporation and the Black Hand from the previous expansions of Just Cause 3, Bavarium Sea Heist takes players inside the coastal waters of Scolio to uncover various research stations and a secret offshore facility called the Stingray. In order to navigate the water to quickly get to where they need to be, a new rocket boat called the Loochador is going to be at their disposal complete with booster engines, multi-lock rockets, and miniguns.
Although the new boat is great addition, looks like the real prize in this downloadable content will be the new weapon Rico eventually acquires called the Eden Spark. Simply put, this weapon is a lightning gun capable of calling down deadly lightning storms that cause massive destruction upon vehicles and vaporize enemies where they stand. The gun will also be up-gradable with gear mods gained by completing the new challenges available, though it's effects are unknown at this time.
Same as other DLC packs, players can look forward to have an entirely new location to explore, more missions to complete, a new challenge type focused around the new gadgets, and the previously mentioned lightning gun and rocket boat. Right now, Season Pass owners can start downloading the expansion, while the general public will need to wait another week. Bavarium Sea Heist is available for purchase individually for $5.99 or players can choose to grab all three expansions in the season pass for $24.99.
Just Cause 3 is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
