Flappy Bird. No More!!!
-----------The creator of Flappy Bird will remove the game from app stores within the next 22 hours.
The Vietnamese creator of the very difficult #1 Android and Apple game revealed on Twitter that he is taking the game down within the next day.
"I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore," Nguyen said in a series of tweets. "It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore. I also don't sell 'Flappy Bird', please don't ask. And I still make games."
What Nguyen means when talking about legal issues are the accusations that Flappy Bird is a copy of other games with similar concepts and artwork. The Flappy Bird itself looks like Piou Piou, while the pipes strike a resemblance to plumbing constructions in the Super Mario Bros. series of games.
Flappy Bird since launch has been downloaded over 50 million times, and it is reported that the game brings in more than $50,000 in ad revenue a day. Those who want to try the game out should head out to the Play store/ iTunes before it is gone forever.
