Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 & Dragon Ball Super May Have A Connected Story

-----------
.....

Couple of fans have predicted the latest time traveling events taking place on Dragon Ball Super may connect with the forthcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 video game.

Plenty of fan theories exist that mess up the virtual landscape and, although few ever hit their mark totally, there are some that are just too good to be outright dismissed.

A theory such as that now floats around that the Dragon Ball video game and television worlds could soon collide when the events on Dragon Ball Super eventually lead into Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Before continuing, its fair to be warned of spoilers since the theory can't be explained without revealing crucial plot details of Dragon Ball Super.

The latest story arc in Dragon ball Super has Future Trunks traveling back in time once more to warn the earth about Goku Black, which is an evil being of unknown origins that's looking exactly like Goku, except an earring, black gi, and a time ring that is a big part of this whole theory. The ring bears an insignia that looks similar to the symbols on the heads of Janemba and Broly in the recent Xenoverse 2 trailer.

Even though they're not identical, it's hard not to notice the likeness. Goku Black will also make an appearance in the game as a pre-order bonus, which may stir up some feelings a bit. Although that might not be convincing to some, the theory does not stop there. Time traveling is an essential part of Dragon ball Xenoverse 2 - it was the game's focus in the first trailer - and a motivation behind the current arc in Dragon Ball Super.

In both of them, Future Trunks gets rebuked for his abuse of time. The game sees him becoming a member of Time Patrol, a group that protects time, to compensate for this and some fans foresee that the same could happen in the television series.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is set to launch on October 25, 2016 for Xbox One and PS4, followed by the PC version on October 28, 2016.
