Dead by Daylight Adds Halloween DLC
-----------Popular 1 v 4 multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight announced a new Halloween DLC pack themed after the popular film by John Carpenter. The batch of add-ons will feature one new killer, one new survivor, and a new map for $6.99. All that will release on October 25th.
As most already know, all three of the Dead by Daylight add-ons will be Halloween themed and ideal for fans of horror movies. The new survivor will surprisingly be Laurie, the "last girl" played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the 1978 film.
Her suburban town of Haddonfield will be used as the new map for the DLC, giving some new obstacles like cop cars and suburban houses to be used as a hiding place. But the real selling point of the Halloween DLC is definitely the new killer, Michael Myers. The trailer below shows all three add-ons in action and features the iconic Halloween soundtrack to boot.
Judging by the previous spotlight trailer (since removed and replaced with this teaser), it's obvious that Michael Myers' skill set will be based upon his "obsession." By playing around with an obsession the Michael Myers player will receive huge boosts to attack and movement speed, but killing the obsession can also be of some use to the killer later in order to buff the remaining survivors.
With everything said, it looks like the developers at Behaviour Interactive have done a good job combining Halloween with Dead by Daylight, offering a Michael Myers killer that looks and acts like the on-screen version. Whether or not players will continue to use Michael after the originality wears off is yet to be determined, but it's safe to assume that the killer will continue to evolve as Behaviour adjusts his abilities.
The Halloween DLC for Dead by Daylight will release on October 25th for $6.99.
Dead by Daylight is currently available for PC.
