Bulletstorm Developer Working on Two New Games
-----------The CEO of People Can Fly has confirmed that the studio is working on a new AAA shooter. People Can Fly said they've spent quite some time focusing on the concept stages for this new title, but started working on development since the beginning of 2016.
When Bulletstorm was released in 2011, the title has turned out to be a cult hit of the last generation. Sales were not as the studio anticipated, but the developer People can Fly, which also created Gears of War: Judgement still maintained a strong reputation by delivering high-quality shooters.
With the announcement of this major title, People Can Fly has been working on the development of one smaller game as well. Wojciechowski has remained equally secretive regarding this title, also not revealing what genre the game will be. The CEO did state that more information will follow soon though.
"We’ve been working on it since the beginning of the year. Before that, we were polishing the concept. So for any details you'll need to wait until next year. I assure you that the mere fact of acquiring a publisher at such an early stage is a testament to our vast experience. And that's what we’re using in the development of the game."
Judging by the studios previous work, Bulletstorm and Painkiller, players can expect a chaotic and action packed shooter game that will arrive sometime in 2017. Wojciechowski said that the project is in its very early stages, but has a publisher who has decided to invest in the project because of the great experience the development team has. The ending to the Bulletstorm title was leaning heavily towards a sequel, and fans of the original would love to play another game set in that timeline, complete with the same crazy guns.
Some specific information about this game won't be available until next year, but the final product is not nearly as defined. No info on the new indie game as well, although it should arrive on the market this year.
