Witcher 3 Mod Adds First-Person Perspective Into the Game
-----------A fan of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has continued to work on refining a mod to give players the ability to switch the game's default third-person view to first-person.
Thanks to the modder known as SkacikPL, fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will now be able to traverse through all of the game's numerous environments and settings such as the large city of Novigrad, or the Toussaint region found inside the Blood and Wine DLC in a first person perspective. The mod that allows this to happen certainly looks promising, but SkacikPL has added that there's still a lot of work yet to be done.
The demonstration video below shows the camera essentially shifting into Geralt's head and basically becoming attached to it, giving it a bouncy feel when The Witcher 3's protagonist moves around. SkacikPL has worked on this mod for quite some time now, and over the course of its making, a number of changes have been added in order to increase the mod's usability, such as reducing the camera's bobbing effect since its initial build.
Although the likelihood of playing The Witcher 3 with camera dynamics of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will definitely look interesting, some issues still exist. For example, one of the main problems that the mod of SkacikPL has is its inability to function while in combat. To be exact, once players unsheathe Geralt's sword, the view resets back to third-person perspective.
With its current state, the first-person mod from SkacikPL for The Witcher 3 is mainly iseful for those who simply want to get a closer and more controlled look at the vast and absolutely gorgeous world CD Projekt Red's developers created for the game. Actually, one can only imagine how beautiful the improved graphics of the game's final expansion will be when experienced with SkacikPL's creation.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
