Video on Skyrim Special Edition Shows Off Improved Graphics
-----------YouTuber by the name of FudgeMuppet has shown how each of the major cities in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have visually evolved in the special edition.
With just a week left before Bethesda relaunches The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with a special edition, the game is relatively quiet in terms of marketing and promotion. Fans have been treated to a reveal trailer at E3 and details since have been emerging here and there, but for the most part, things have been fairly quiet. All that appears to be changing now as hand picked members have started to release new videos which show the game in action, including how the game has visually changed from the way it used to be.
The footage we're talking about comes not from Bethesda but from a YouTuber FudgeMuppet, who is one of the handful of video creators that go hands on with the remastered version of Skyrim. Fans can get a clear picture of how the visuals have changed since the original launch five years ago in the small 16 minute video the YouTuber created. The commentary and combat free gameplay footage is shown from a first person perspective as FudgeMuppet's character runs through many of the major cities within the game. Players who are well familiar with Skyrim will recognize Whiterun, Winterhold, Riften, Solitude and a few others.
The visuals may not be on the same level as Bethesda's other recent release, Fallout 4, but the video shows a much improved look thanks to the help of enhanced lighting and remastered art from excitement to disappointment over what is perceived as small changes.
The PC version of Skyrim will retail at full price for a lot of people, but PC users have an opportunity to get it completely free having a few conditions met beforehand. Steam users who own the Legendary Edition of Skyrim or regular users who have bought every DLC will get an update on October 28 containing the full special edition version of the game for free. The new version of Skyrim will support mods, so this promotion should make longtime fans of the game happy.
