Three Pokemon Games Arrive To Wii U Virtual Console This Week
-----------Fans of Pokemon can keep themselves interested until the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon with these upcoming three classic titles to the Wii U Virtual Console.
If you can't stand to wait until Pokemon Sun and Moon release, some news are out that should help tide players over until the November release. As stated by Nintendo, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, and Explorers of Sky are scheduled to launch on the Wii U Virtual Console this week. The Pokemon spin-off games were released originally on Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS devices but will soon arrive on the current-gen console, starting June 23.
A human protagonist is featured in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series who's been turned into Pokemon and, with a help of a new friend, creates a rescue team service. Different from the main series titles, games like the Rescue team utilize a dungeon crawling combat system, without using any trainers. Pokemon companions can be recruited to follow the player's team, rather than caught in Pokeballs.
The latest release of the three games called Explorers of Sky, is an enhanced version of the Explorers of Darkness/Explorers of Time games. The title is providing players with several additional playable Pokemon, as well as additional dungeons that were not present in the base games.
These old Pokemon games are not the first that have been available to fans in recent times, with Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow all now available on the Virtual Console already. Fans of Pokemon can also acquire the physical release of freemium title Pokemon Rumble World for 3DS,
a game that gives those who purchase any amount of premium currency as an encouragement to pay for an otherwise free-to-play game.
Even though spin-off games like the Rescue team haven't made the list, we've ranked the best Pokemon titles from the main series in a list for fans so that they can discuss whether they agree with this list or not. The Rescue Team titles haven't received an evaluation as high as the main titles usually do. Besides this, the titles are still worth a try for every fan of the franchise.
