NieR: Automata PC Release Date Announced
-----------Platinum Games has announced that NieR: Automata will arrive for PC on March 17, just one week behind the PS4 release of the new fast-paced, open-world game.
PC gamers will be pleased to know that NieR: Automata finally has a release date set for their platform, which is March 17. The news was revealed today on Twitter by the developer Platinum Games to general acclaim. Up to this point, it was uncertain when the PC version of the game would launch, though the studio had made fans sure that one was in the works. The PS4 release of NieR: Automata is planned for March 7 and 10, depending on whether buyers live in North America or Europe, respectively.
The reason as to why the PC version is coming later is unknown, but at least PC gamers now know for certain when they, too, can join in on the robot-smashing fun of NieR: Automata. The game went gold about a month ago already and has been out in Japan since February 23. It seems that, according to the developers, NieR: Automata would've arrived earlier last year already, but because of unforseen circumstances was postponed until this month.
The story of NieR: Automata is focused on the Android 2B as she runs around the open world of the game destroying robotic enemies, all that while wearing a faintly too short skirt. When the game was first announced, the developers promised they would improve on its predecessor NieR's lackluster combat and many who have had the chance to get their hands on the demo for NieR: Automata feel that has been achieved. The action is rather fast-paced and features impressive combos and challenging opponents.
NieR: Automata is set to release in North America and Europe on March 7 and March 10 respectively for PS4. The PC version of the game will release on March 17.
