Mass Effect: Andromeda PC System Requirements Revealed

-----------
.....

The minimum and recommended system requirements to run video game developer BioWare's upcoming science fiction shooter, Mass Effect: Andromeda, have been officially revealed.

Thanks to a listing on Origin, fans of Mass Effect: Andromeda who cannot wait to get their hands on BioWare's upcoming science fiction shooter on PC can now determine exactly what kind of hardware they will need to run the game on their respective rigs, as the minimum and maximum specifications for the platform have now officially been revealed. Taken the listing into consideration, it appears as if PCs on the low end of the scale won't have too much of a demanding experience, while on the other hand, higher end rigs will, of course, require much better specs.

As far as the minimum requirements for Mass Effect: Andromeda's are concerned, PC fans are only required to have a 2 GB GTX 660 or Radeon 7850 combined with an i5-3570 or FX-6350. Those who want a more smoother experience, however, will need to be equipped with at least a GTX 1060 or RX 480 with an i7-4790 or FX-8350. For those interested, the full PC specs for Mass Effect: Andromeda can be found below.

Minimum System Requirements

- OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
- CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
- RAM: 8 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 2 GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2 GB
- Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space
- DirectX: DirectX 11

Recommended System Requirements

- OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB, AMD RX 480 4 GB
- Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space
- DirectX: DirectX 11

Even though it's good that BioWare has revealed the PC specs for Mass Effect: Andromeda ahead of the game's release, neither the studio nor the title's publisher Electronic Arts have talked about the level of quality, frame rate, or resolution the hardware will reach. While some recently released titles such as For Honor can reach 1080p, for example, it's safe to assume that Mass Effect: Andromeda's PC players are going to want to play the game on a much higher resolution.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled to release on March 21, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
