In-Game Events Coming to Destiny

Bungie reveals details on the upcoming events set to launch in Destiny this month.

Bungie details the new updates and challenges coming to Destiny on its official website.

The first event is a weekend-long Crucible playlist, called Combined Arms, which runs from Friday September 19 to Sunday 21. Players will need to form Fireteams of six for this mode, which will give "more regular" heavy ammo drops.

After that the next event starts September 23 to October 6. The Queen's Wrath will task players to take out "enemies of the Reef" across a number of bounty tasks. Bungie adds that The Queen's Wrath includes "mission modes" that will be rewarded with Unique Legendary Gear and Unique Rare Gear.

The Salvage playlist is also due before the end of September.

Writing on the official Bungie website, the studio says "there should always be something new to experience every time you play Destiny."

It added: "To give you new reasons to bring the fight to our enemies--and to each other--we've loaded our cannons with some more special events. Some of them will recur regularly. Others will happen when you least expect them."
