Watch Dogs is Ubisoft's Last "Mature Game" on Wii U
-----------Ubisoft plans to focus more on titles that Wii U gamers play.
No more "mature games" will be published for the Wii U by Ubisoft, according to the company's CEO.
In a new interview, Yves Guillemot explained that Wii U game sales only made three percent of the company's total for the fiscal year. For comparison, the PS4 and Xbox One made up nine and six percent, despite not being available for the entire year.
"It’s very simple," he said. "What we see is that Nintendo customers don’t buy Assassin’s Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers. What we see is that they are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games. So what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in."
"[Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U... It will be the only mature game we publish on it," he concluded.
Watch Dogs for Wii U was announced earlier this year, but Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot didn't give any specifics for the postponement.
