Warlords of Draenor Expansion Now Free With Base Game

-----------
.....

Blizzard is constantly changing prices on the original game and making bundles with older expansions to reduce the price for new players. With the company’s latest move to satisfy new fans, Blizzard will include Warlords of Draenor expansion to everyone who owns the core game.

The decision to make the expansion free has arrived few months after the game received a price drop to ten dollars. Players who purchased the Warlords of Draenor expansion at the ten dollar mark were also able to boost one character to level 90 for free, in order to jump straight into the new content. Blizzard has not confirmed if the character boost will be included in the free version of the game, as there is no official statement on the website so far.

Veteran players who haven’t returned to the game since the 2014 launch of Warlords may want to revisit Azeroth now that the price went down significantly. The expansion was critically praised for the new character model upgrades, new raids, housing system, and the throwback to classic characters from the Warcraft lore.

Blizzard has released Warlords of Draenor in 2014, raising the level cap to 100 as well as making changes to the MMO's PvP mode.  The expansion was having several issues that made the launch rough for players, including DDoS attacks. Players were later compensated for the lost playtime that was caused by the long queues and couple of other issues that were present at the time.

Following the release of the expansion, Blizzard has come forth with World of Warcraft subscription numbers, saying that they suffered the lowest drop in 10 years. After the announcement, the company has decided to stop sharing subscription figures publicly.

Players can pre-order Legion from the Blizzard store, which will allow them to take on the new Demon Hunter class before the new expansion launches. The standard physical and digital edition will cost £34.99/$49.99, while the Deluxe edition is £49.99/$69.99.

Legion is scheduled to launch on August 30, 2016.
